We’ve been talking about Twitter about it a bit recently, but not all of our regular listeners/readers necessarily follow us there. But the question we’ve seen a number of times recently…WHAT HAPPENED TO STAR TREK: AEGEAN?
Not sure what Star Trek Aegean is? Well, it’s our Star Trek Actual Play podcast, and you can listen to our sandboxing sessions here. Designed, much like Knights of Reignsborough, using the Savage Worlds rules, we concluded our “Season Zero” and were getting ready to start releasing season one. But then…nothing….
On our Contact page, stoics commented:
Hi I was wondering what ever happened to the “star trek aegean” game that was in the works? It was looking rather awesome with truly great character ideas… is there a possibility you might do another trek “actual play” podcast in the future?
As an aside, are there any other trek “actual plays” you know of?
So…what happened to Aegean? Short answer? Reignsborough happened. Ultimately, what time we’ve all been able to spend together has been spent either recording Funnybooks or Knights of Reignsborough. We’ve been gearing up to record season three of KoR, but we’ve also been discussing plans to get into recording Aegean and bring it to you!
So, to let everyone know, Aegean isn’t dead! In fact, we’ve been discussing some exciting changes to the rules, inspired by some of the awesome games we’ve played recently (like at Fear The Con).
Want us to bring Aegean back? Let us know! Comment on this thread, email us, or leave us a voicemail on the IoM hotline!
