IoM Actual Play: Rogues of Reignsborough – Escape from Dauger Island

Dauger Island, NJ is a maximum security prison that mystically de-powers supervillains once they set foot on it…

…Every day has been hell for you since Partisan defeated you and shipped you out here. A small part of you dies every time some two bit street thug beats you up for your pudding. Your thoughts drift to ending it all, which a lot of super criminals end up doing. But when all seems lost, a light at the end of the tunnel appears. A chance to get off this nightmare rock…

Escape from Dauger Island is an actual play recorded at Fear The Con 5 using the Savage Worlds System in the Reignsborough setting.

Ghosts of Reignsborough, the second of our FtC5 Reignsborough actual plays, will release on July 20.

  1. Hi there! I know this is kinda off topic but I was wondering
which blog platform are you using for this website?
I’m getting tired of WordPress because I’ve had problems with hackers and I’m looking at options for another platform. I would be awesome if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.

  2. I was wondering if you ever considered changing the structure of your website?
Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you
could a little more in the way of content so people
could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or 2 images.
Maybe you could space it out better?

  3. Would it be too much for me to ask if Partisan Kid and Necropath’s young friend are one and the same person?

  4. This game really brings Dauger island to life for me. I was envisioning more of a city full of criminals where anarchy reigns with no law at all.

  5. I played in the Squires game at the fear the con. I had a great time. I hope that the fans enjoy it as much as I enjoyed playing. I can’t wait for the podcast. I am listening to the Rogues podcast as I type this. It is filling in a lot of things for me.

  6. So I got the impression at least one of those escapees isn’t as interested in the kind of mayhem those Cultists hope they’ll commit to keep the attention off of them.
I wonder how the Squires of Reinsborough will play out?

  7. It was only run once at FTC. I did playtest it with my home group before the con. It very much went the same way. My wife got to play wrath, so there was a little more spanish swear words thrown around.

  8. Oh I thought it was Grim who was being targeted!

At least I now know who the assassin is!

When you can, can you tells us how the other session on this particular game went since I believe this was run twice?

  9. The PCs:
Thunderstruck: Tyson Derriks, PC has electricity damage and improve thunder hits.
Barometer: Zachary Greenville, area affect cold/hot attack.
Grim Reaper: Marquet Si-Sarahn Arabian with power scythe attack.
Siphon: Malcomb “Malice” Black, blaster type, Soul siphon gloves.
Silverback: Winston, North Korean government project. Heightened gorilla.
Madame Blade: Donna LaCrouix, Weapon expert – magic sword.
Wrath: Sandra Munoz, brick type, don’t make Sandra angry, you wouldn’t like her….

The PCs didn’t always use their ‘costume’ names because they were in lock up, so they were used to using other names. On the surface, it looks like they were hired to unleash Maximus Overkill, but looks can be deceiving….

  10. So the characters were?

    1) Sondra a hispanic powerhouse,
    2) Silver Black a scientifically transformed adult male silver black gorilla,
    3) Donna a blonde career criminal (is she Madame Blade?)
    4) Arabian born wielder of the Soulcrusher gauntlets (is he named Grim?)
    5) Siphon? (Could be one of the above as this sounds like a name for option 4
    6) Don’t know maybe the assassin?

So they were contacted to help free a mentaly unstable armoured powerhouse named Maximus Overkill who has a somewhat closer than normal relationship with his golden shield weapon.
They’re given a chemical antidote to the depowering effect on the island but have to meet their patron to obtain an antidote as this is apparently poisonous.
Could have easily gone very badly but I can see them as supervillains being this nuts!
Is it okay to mention what was revealed at the end?
Otherwise am still trying to listen it again to see what I missed on the other occasion(s) I listened to this so very well done!
Looking forward to the next part!
