FFD: The Darkness Starter Pack!

The Darkness #75 Cover by Dale Keown

We’ve spoken a ton on Funnybooks about our love for the Top Cow Universe, and our excitement about their upcoming event, Artifacts (preview here).  One of Top Cow’s banner titles, The Darkness, is, perhaps, the most consistently well written and drawn book from ANY comic company today.

Currently written by Phil Hester, with art (primarily) by Michael Broussard, The Darkness tells the story of Jackie Estacado, a mob hitman who unwittingly becomes the bearer of the Artifact known as “the Darkness,” which he can use to create an army of Darkling creatures, as well as to enhance his strength, making him nigh invincible in the dark.

This contest is for the first eleven issues of the current volume of The Darkness, which includes the awesome 75th anniversary issue (the series started legacy numbering with this issue), the Artifacts FCBD comic, and The Darkness video game for the Xbox 360!

How do you enter?  Well, most folks are afraid of the dark….tell us about what you’re afraid of in the talkback section below!  One randomly chosen winner will receive the prize!

As always, our FFD contest rules can be found here.  Good luck!

  1. I am very afraid of large amounts of water(lakes, the ocean, rivers.) Since I can’t swim I fear I will fall in and drown. Also fish, especially big fish.

  2. Solitary Confinement. I don’t know if I could maintain my sanity with that much quiet time.

  3. I hate the way people move in The Ring and some of the other horror/suspense movies and TV shows. The shaky apparition jerking side to side and moving forward in a not-human way freaks me out!

  4. When most people hold newborn infants, it always feels to me like they are about to drop them. It bothers me to the point that I can’t watch the person.
Also heights. I get some crazy vertigo when I’m up high and looking down.
