Thanks to my sister for sending me this one.

Katrina did an absolute number to New Orleans.  The city has recovered in many aspects, but there are still some areas that will never fully recuperate.  Case in point?  Six Flags New Orleans, which has been abandoned since the hurricane in 2005, and has literally been left completely alone (other than taking back a Batman ride that was still operable) since then.  You’ll see in the below video (and more info here, here, and here) that almost everything else remains.  Computers, rides that are completely intact (corroded beyond repair), and restaurants (with equipment) all just…there.  Broken windows and graffiti have overtaken the rest of the park which looks like something out of a horror movie – check out a creepy video filmed at the abandoned park (which looks like it will be torn down for spare parts in early 2011).
