I both love and hate videos like this.  The short, directed by Kevin Tancharoen, (the director of last year’s Fame), features a cast that includes actors like Michael Jai White as Jax and Jeri Ryan as Sonya Blade, and features a bunch of kool kameos (heh) by Mortal Kombat characters.  According to Latino Review, this is a test video shot for Warner Brothers to get funding for a full blown hard ‘R’ MK movie.

Now we’ll see if it ever happens.  Still, this is a mighty cool lookin’ video, and seems like it would make a helluva movie!
