A very special New Comic Book Day interview this week, as we talk to the writer of Oni Press’ latest hit graphic novel, Love Buzz, Len Wallace. Love Buzz went through a hell of an interesting road making it to publication.
Love Buzz tells the tale of Norm Raymer, an aspiring comic artist, who has a turbulent relationship with Maggie. With their passionate ups and chaotic downs, is this love, or a youthful lust? For better or worse, Norm and Maggie must discover whether or not they can ever really make it as a normal couple. Can you really be a normal couple when your whole life is just fodder for your comic book?
Love Buzz is a mature take on love that we don’t normally see in comics, and a stellar first work from the entire creative staff. We talk to Wallace about Love Buzz, and the struggles a creator goes through to come up with a follow-up. All independent comic creators should listen to this episode!
